Gideon is the son of Daniel B. Gaumer and Hannah Baughman. He was baptized 26 Aug 1811 at New Hope Lutheran Church which recorded his birth as 6 Jul 1811. His was just the fourth baptism at the church. The stone is unreadable but old transcriptions record the age as 14y 5m 4d. The calculated birth date using the death date on the stone is 9 Jul 1811.
