Betty Jean Slack, 81, of Vienna, passed away March 10, 2012 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.

She was born May 23, 1931, at Eatons, W.Va., a daughter of the late Charles R. and Elise Jenkins Farnsworth.

Betty was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening and sewing and was a Methodist by faith.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Slack of Vienna; two sons, Robert Michael Evans of Parkersburg and William Joseph Evans of Ravenswood; one sister, Hilda Nulter of Vienna; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her dog Missy.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Evans; and 10 brothers and sisters.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, with Pastor Jim Lynch officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Walker. Visitation will be Tuesday from noon-1 p.m. at the funeral home.
