Ex-Marine Donald Edwards to Join Victoria Law Firm
Addition of Donald A. Edwards to the staff of Stofer, Proctor, Houchins and Anderson was announced Saturday by the law firms members.
Formerly a resident of Austin, Edwards attended grad and high school there and was graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in Law in 1952.
He is single and 26 years old. After graduation he joined the Marine Corps, serving until last Dec. when he was discharged with the rank of First Lieutenant.
Edwards expressed his delight in becoming a citizen of Victoria and being associated with the firm.
Don married Katherine Lois Gregg on Aug 15, 1964 in Victoria, TX. They had two children, Travis Gregg and Julie Austin both born in Victoria.

OBITUARY
Donald A. Edwards, 75 of Victoria died Wednesday, May 12, 2004. He was born Sept 7, 1828 in San Antonio, TX to the late George Garrett Edwards Sr., and Iola Austin Edwards. He served as a Marine during the Korean conflict. He was also a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. He was a Phi Beta Kappa, an Elder with the First Presbyterian Church and an Eagle Scout.
He was former president of the YMCA, and Victoria Youth Home. He was active with the Christ's Kitchen.
He was proceeded in death by his parents and brother, George Garrett Edwards, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine Gregg Edwards of Victoria; daughter, Julie Austin Edwards of Victoria; son Travis Gregg Edwards and his wife Christy of Victoria; sister Mary Cadenhead and husband Judge Ernest Cadenhead of Brownwood; sister-in-law Mary Katherine Edwards of Victoria and cousin Nancy Marwill of Dallas.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday May 14th at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Bruce Fisher officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Organ fund or Christ's Kitchen.
Pallbearers; Judge Earnest Cadenhead, Judge Frank Crain, Thomas A Sage, William S. Motley, Reese W. Wilson and Dr. M. Hassian Sabbagh.
Honorary Pallbearers: Ted Reed, Lloyd Pratt, Bob Woolson, Floyd Pratt, Noble Malik and Bob Wasson.
