Robert "Bob" Eugene Brennan, 80, of Decatur died at 7:26 am on Friday May 20, 2011 in St. Mary's Hospital.

Robert was born on July 26, 1930 in Decatur the son of Thomas and Ellen (Carter) Brennan. He was a Veteran of the US Army, a member of the American Legion, VFW and the Moose Lodge. He was a retired carman of the Norfolk & Southern Rail Road. He married Pamela Walker on May 24, 1979 in Lincoln, IL.

Surviving are his wife Pamela; brothers, John Brennan and Tom Brennan both of Decatur; sister, Della Miller and husband Lester of Decatur; sister-in-law, Thea Westbay of Decatur; and 14 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ray and Gerry.

Funeral service celebrating the life of Robert Eugene Brennan will be 11:00 am Tuesday, May 24, 2011 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be 9:30 – 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Friends Creek Cemetery, Argenta with military honors conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. Memorials are suggested to DAV or the Macon County Honor Guard. The family requests casual attire.
