M. J. Ammons of Colony Is Dead.
M. J. Ammons of Colony died suddenly at his home Saturday afternoon, Aug. 7, 1954. He conducted a general store at Colony for many years, beginning in the early 1900's. The funeral was Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Colony. An only child, Charles, of Tampa, Fla., and a little grandson survive. Mr. Ammons, who was called Millard Ammons by all who knew him, was married Sept. 19, 1906, to Miss Lizzie Tonnies, oldest daughter of Bernard and Albertina Tonnies, and she died in 1940. The son, Charles, and his wife arrived Monday afternoon.
