Pollard Mullins was a son of James and Temperance (Seale) Mullins.

James Mullins was a son of Revolutionary soldier Clement Mullins of Franklin County, North Carolina. Clement Mullins migrated to Georgia about 1783, and about 1820, he settled in Copiah County, Mississippi.

Temperance Seale's father was Thomas Seale, a Revolutionary soldier from North Carolina. She was born 7 December 1786.
