Dr. Fritch was the son of Lewis and Ellen Folsom Fritch. He was a prioneer physician for Monroe County. He practiced medicine until a year before his death when ill health forced him to stop his work.

He married Amanda Ellen Fleener on April 1, 1866. They were the parents of 6 children: Willaby, Lafayette, William J., Lewis, Milton Otto and Rosa Della. His wife died in 1911. She, Lafayette (1894) and William J. (1890) are buried in Bear Creek Cemetery in Brown Co.

Dr. Fritch remarried. He married Sarah E. Barrow, who is buried near Dr. Fritch. He is listed on Amanda's stone, but buried in Little Union Cemetery.

Dr. Fritch was a general practitioner and served the people of the eastern part of Monroe County faithfully. He also was a member of the Church of Christ. His funeral was held on Sunday, May 26, 1931 and was one of the largest ever held in the county.
