Gaye Pachall

1943 – 2004

Gaye Pachall, age 61 of Houston, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2004 in Memorial Herman-Memorial City Hospital, following a courageous struggle with a lengthy illness.

Graveside Services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Restever Memorial Park in Bryan. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. this evening and from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hillier Funeral Home.

Gaye was a homemaker and formerly worked for the Texas Forest Service. For many years she was the Director of the Mothers Day Out Program for Spring Branch Presbyterian Church and was a member of the prayer chains as well.

She enjoyed traveling, reading, crafts and spoiling her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles W. Griffin.

Survivors include her husband, Wayne Pachall of Houston; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dana & Charles Coon and Julie & Cody Fleming, all of Houston; her mother, Mary Buchel Griffin of Bryan; a sister, Diane Callcott of Bryan; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. F.C. Pachall of Bryan; two sisters-in-law, Hilda & Bill Atkinson and Wanda & Eddie Stuart, all of Bryan; a brother-in-law, Thomas Pachall of Bryan; five grandchildren, Eric and Amanda Coon, Jared, Lauren and Brian Fleming; a cousin, James Lassiter of Bryan; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Gaye Pachall family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Ariel Velasco for his tireless efforts.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the "Make a Wish" Foundation.
