Gilbert Kenoyer

EDINA, Mo. --- Gilbert A. Kenoyer, 96, Edina, died at 5 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 9, 1977) in the Knox County Nursing Home, where he had lived since Aug. 16, 1971. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Hudson-Rimer Chapel in Edina, with the Rev. Ronald Garner of Edina officiating. Burial will be in the Colony, Mo. cemetery.

Mr. Kenoyer was born Aug. 17, 1880, in Scotland County, Mo., a son of Lemuel and Mary Catherine Harvey Kenoyer. He married Buelah [sic] Rose Pearce Feb. 13, 1901. Mrs. Kenoyer died June 22, 1957.

Mr. Kenoyer had been a carpenter and a farmer and had lived most of his life in Scotland and Knox Counties. He moved to Edina in 1943. He was a member of Harmony Methodist Church.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Velma Gladys Hamlin, Mrs. Blen [sic] (Bessie Marie) Pulias [sic], Mrs. Leila Faye Baker, and Mrs. Leslie (Elvah [sic] Pearl) Blackburn, all of Edina; 17 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, two grandchildren, a great-grandson, two sisters and five brothers.
