John E. Bolden Sr. 71, passed away at 7:30 AM at his home in Memphis, IN with his family by his side.
John worked at Kimball Office furniture in Borden for over 30 years in the finishing dept. and has been a resident of Clark. Co for 49 years.
He was a member of Mt Moriah Church and enjoyed gardening, cutting wood, and spending time with his family and friends.
Born in Claiborne County Tennessee on June 19, 1939 to the parents of George and Bessie (Standifer) Bolden.
Married Dec. 8, 1962 at Mt. Moriah Church to Ellen (Bailey) Bolden who survives in Memhis, Indiana.
Other survivors include a daughter Tammi James (Jamie Sr.) of Memphis, IN, one grandson, Andrew Valentine of Memphis, two sisters, Leona (Calvin) Hood of Ohio, Bobbie Larson of Memphis, Brother, Howard (Linda) Bolden of Nashville, TN, two great granddaughters, Mackenzie Valentine and Alexsandra Valentine of Memphis and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son John Bolden Jr, who passed away on June 29, 1993, five brothers, Lloyd, Foye, Faye, Jim, and Gerald Bolden.
Pastor Jim Bowyer will conduct funeral services at 11:00 Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Adams Funeral Home in Henryville, with burial to follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Friends may visit the family on Monday, May 23, 2011 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Adams Funeral Home and on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 from Noon until 8:00 PM at Adams Funeral Home in Henryville and after 10:00 AM on Wednesday.
