DEATH OF MRS. J. M. BEAL
After Being Afflicted With Asthma for Years, End Came at Home Last Friday Night.
Mrs. James M. Beal died at her home here Friday night after being in poor health for some years from Asthma, which finally resulted in her death. She was 69 years old.
Funeral services were conducted at the home at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon by Rev. D. F. Stiles of the Methodist Church, and burial was in Linville cemetery.
Besides her husband five sons survive. They are: W. H. Beal, F. A. Beal, Thomas Beal and H. B. Beal of Edina and Frank H. Beal of Fowler, Colo. All five sons were in attendance at the funeral, and with one grandson, George Beal, acted as pallbearers. One child, a son, died when small. there are also four grandchildren surviving.
Mr. and Mrs. Beal retired from the farm about twelve years ago and after spending a year in Colorado returned to Edina to make their home.
Before her marriage, December 5, 1867, Mrs. Beal was Miss Mary Theodosia Beach, a daughter of Hiram and Judith Ann Beach. She was born at Millport December 14, 1847.
