He received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System and graduated from Fairmount Hill High School. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and later received an honorable discharge. Peter accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Zion Baptist Church.
He was the father of two children; Kenny and Kim and grandfather of three grandchildren.
