Mother of Chief of Police Henle Dies At His Home Yesterday. Funeral Friday

Death claimed Mrs. Joseph Henle, 80 year old mother of Chief of Police A. J. Henle and William Henle of this city at the home of the former about 5:30 Wednesday afternoon. A stroke suffered while she was here for a visit with her sons in November and old age complications were the cause of her death. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Teresa's Catholic Church at 10:00 Friday morning with the pastor Monsignor P. T. Monaghan and Father John Cavanaugh, pastor of the Little Flower of Jesus Catholic church at Sioux falls officiating. Burial will be made in the Catholic cemetery east of town beside her husband who passed away November 2 of last year. Mrs. Henle was born at St. Mary's Pennsylvania March 21, 1858 and lacked less than a month of celebrating her 80th birthday anniversary.
She was married at Sugar Creek, Jackson County Iowa almost 60 years ago and with her husband came to the Emmett Comunity south of Bereseford in 1885. In 1900 she and her husband moved to Sioux Falls where they resided until his death. Shortly after that she came to Beresford for a visit and was taken with the fatal illness. Besides the two sons here she leaves 2 other sons Matt and Joseph Henle of Sioux Falls and two daughters Mrs. Joe Josten of Sioux Falls and Mrs. Glen Gates of Hartford.
