Mrs. Luella Rhodes, 79, widow of Edwin R. Rhodes, who for the last five years had made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wyburn, 1029 South Third street, died in that home at 5:10 a.m. today, after having been bedfast for 11 weeks.
Friends may call after 7 o'clock this evening at the Dale White chapel, 129 South Second street, and the service will be held there at 2 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Highland cemetery, South Bend.
The deceased, who was the daughter of Alvin and Caroline (Burdick) Bowen, was born July 26, 1863, in Quincy. Mich. Her marriage to Mr. Rhodes took place Oct. 30, 1883. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Burton Signs of Elkhart; 11 grandchildren, three nieces and two nephews.
While a resident of South Bend Mrs. Rhodes was a member of the Rebekah degree.
