Stephen Callender 1781-1830 was the son of Alexander CALLENDER and Mary COLEMAN. They were closely associated with the SWAYZE Settlement from Morris,New Jersey early on in the settlement of the Missisippi Territory in and around Natchez.

William Coleman born 1808 - died before August 1870. M. Kesiah Rentz 1810-1886.
Robert S. born 1810 died after 1880. M. Jemima Perry 1835.

When Betsey died he remarried in 1812 to Sarah BRIAN, daughter of Jeremiah BRIAN. She was born 1792 and died 1827.

James Swayze Callender 1816-1890. m. Sarah Griffing.
Isaac Alexander Callender 1820 - unknown. m. Lycurgus Heath.

Sarah Elizabeth Callender 1826-1883. m. Daniel Milton Griffing.

Callender, Tyson Wilkinson, and the estate of Gideon Gibson (deceased) married to Stephen's sister. Inventory of Claims, filed 28th Dec. 1831, and going thru 22 June 1835 in open court.
