Mr. C.W. Adams, aged 67, died early Friday morning last at the residence of his son-in-law, N.M. Shumate, four miles west of this place. He had been sick about two weeks. His death was caused from congestive chill and heart failure. Mr. Adams was a man whom any one might feel proud to know. He was scrupulously honest and straight-forward in his business affairs and his word was as good as a bond. The burial took place Saturday afternoon at Cummins Station, beside his wife, who preceded him to the grave about seven years.
