Funeral services for Peggy W. Secondine-Anderson will be held 10:30 am, Friday, May 20, 2011 at the Western Heights Baptist Church with Rev. David Head officiating. Burial will be in the Silverlake Cemetery in Bartlesville, Oklahoma at 2:00 pm under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.

Peggy was born May 13, 1933 in Orr, Oklahoma. She was the daughter Ned Edward and Wanda Mignon (Black) McKinnon. As a young girl Peggy attended school in Orr and later completed her high school at Ringling where she graduated. Shortly after graduation, Peggy was united in marriage to Doyle Edward Singleton in 1952. The couple established their home in Healdton, Oklahoma where they raised their three children; Ricky, Jeffery and Paula. Following a divorce from Mr. Singleton; Peggy was united in marriage to George Secondine on September 11, 1969 in Wellington, Kansas. The couple lived in various places due the fact Mr. Secondine worked for a construction company. In 1973, they moved to Cleveland and purchased her current home in 1976, where she has continued to reside. Peggy obtained her real estate license and sold property for a short time prior to gaining employment with Dick Connors Correctional Facility in Hominy, Oklahoma. Peggy worked as a secretary at the facility until 1988 when she retired. On November 14, 2005, Peggy was then united in marriage to Robert Francis Anderson and has continued to reside in Cleveland since their marriage.

Peggy enjoyed visiting with her friends and family on the telephone. She was also an animal lover. Peggy would always take in strays no matter what and nurse them back to health. She is described as having a soft and gentle heart as well as a giver to those in need.

Peggy passed away on Monday, May 16, 2011 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the Hillcrest Medical Center at the age of 78 years and three days.

She was preceded in death by her father Ned Edward McKinnon, husbands George Harrison Secondine, Doyle Edward Singleton, two children Ricky Singleton, Paula Doylene Perry, one brother Rick McKinnon, one sister Fran De Boer and three step sons Joe "Sonny" Secondine, Wallace Anderson and Bobby Anderson.
