Graveside services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the West Side District Cemetery for Mrs. Dorothy M. Shaver, 74. She was born Sept. 30, 1925 in Kerto and passed away Oct. 3, 1999 at a local convalescent hospital of natural causes. A resident of Santa Maria for one year, Mrs. Shaver graduated from Taft Union High School and owned a ceramic shop in Cuyama for several years. She was the activities director for the Cuyama Recreation Department and was past president of the PTA in Cuyama. She lived on the Island of Malta for two years and traveled extensively in Europe while her husband was employed with Occidental. She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Yuma, Ariz. She is survived by her daughters and their families, four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Arrangements are under the direction of Dudley Hoffman Mortuary.
