Paul A. Schneider passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at the Lakewood Systems Hospital in Staples with family by his side. He was 86 years old. Paul Albert was born on Friday, August 29, 1919 at the home of his parents William and Matilda (Hartwick) Schneider in Iona Township, Todd County. He was baptized, confirmed and attended school at Trinity Lutheran in Long Prairie. He graduated from Long Prairie High School in 1938. Paul served his country as a member of the US Army Air Corps from April, 1942 until December, 1945. He served his community as a farmer and a member of the Township Board, School Board, and Church Board at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Eagle Bend. Paul was united in marriage with Dorothy Hall at the United Methodist Church on August 6, 1944. After being honorably discharged from the air corps, they farmed in Burleene Township from 1949 until 1990 when they moved into their home in Eagle Bend. He enjoyed sports, belonging to a bowling and dartball leagues, spending quiet times outside fishing and gardening, and playing cards with family and friends. Paul was preceded in death by his parents William and Matilda; 3 infant sons and granddaughter Sara Rebecca Schneider; brothers Carl, Edward, and William Jr.; and sisters Anna Gladitsch, Elsie Kienberger, Marie Johnson, Amanda Bliese and Selma Ruck
