She was born Aug. 30, 1934, in Isabel, Kan, to Alvin Doras and Viola A. (Oller) Blue. She was raised in Isabel, then attended Pratt Community College and graduated from Brown Mackie Business College in Salina. A resident of Hutchinson since 1980, she was a bookkeeper and a secretary. Charlie was a member of TOPS Club #53 and Bonco clubs in Hutchinson. She was an avid card player and loved bingo.
Survivors include: four sons, Thomas D. Watson, III, Burrton, Kenneth L. Watson, Salina, Lyndon B. Watson, Lynn Valley, Kan, and Wesley Watson, Pratt; daughter, Treasa J. Cave, Larned; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Charlene Meyers, Hutchinson, and Jackolyn Drake, Brooklyn, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Mathew Watson.
Memorial service will be 2 pm Friday, Nov. 28, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Mike Simmons presiding. Cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the book from 9 am to 9 pm Tuesday and Wednesday at the mortuary. Memorials may be made to Bible Baptist Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary. Published by Elliott Mortuary.
