Civil War Veteran. Enlisted in Co. C, Merkerson's Regt. on September 1, 1864 in Buchanan, Haralson Co., Georgia. Married Sarah E. Head, the daughter of William Jefferson Head and Sarah Elizabeth Lee, on May 29, 1877 in Haralson Co., Georgia. He was the son of Henry Aldridge and Flora Ann McBride.
