She was born December 5, 1894 in Seattle, Washington and died on March 11, 1980 in Bakersfield, California.
She had lived on the Westside 63 years before moving to Oildale 12 years ago.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, a life member of the Women of the Moose, a founder of the YLI in Taft, and was active for many years in girl scouting.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George Achatz and is survived by two daughters, two grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
