His grave was located by a deer hunter who jotted down the names and other info in the tiny little cemetery and sent them in to the local genealogy column in the Shreveport Times. He is buried next to Zilpha and other members of their family. There are markers on six of the graves and others are unmarked.
Tom was a farmer and also a Civil War veteran. He served in the Confederate Army and was a private, Co. E 4th LA Cav. He was a prisoner of war, and was paroled at Natchitoches, LA.
