Florin was the son of John Edward and Margaret Elma Blaine Aldridge of rural Queen City, MO. He married Norma Jean Geery on May 9, 1948 in Queen City, MO. Florin was a self-taught watch repairman and clock and watch collector who owned a watch and clock repair shop in Downing, Missouri, and Aldridge Jewelry in Clarence, Missouri and Tuscola, IL. His children are Florenna Sue Hahn, Lynnita Jean Brown, Dennarda Kay Hubert and Alonna Gail Dukeman. Lynnita has compiled the Aldridge/Geery family tree.
