She was born Graciela Lozano Mosquera in Neiva, Colombia and grew up in Bogota. She was a retired teacher for JCPS where she taught the Spanish language for 16 years. Graciela was a Ky. Colonel, attended Grace Praise and Worship Church, and was a member of Shively Heights Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Carlos Lozano.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Edwin McKinney, Sr.; mother of two sons, Edwin Steven, Jr. (Onnda) and John Michael McKinney; five grandchildren, Sierra, Gabrielle, Danielle, Isaiah and Elijah; two sisters, Mary Lozano and Consuela Charry; brothers, Jaime, Edgar, and Alberto Lozano; a multitude of nephews and nieces in Colombia.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Lynnville Cemetery, Lynnville, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 2 -8 p.m. Thursday.
