Re-burial services for Pvt. Lester Cook, 23, of Eustace were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Eustace Baptist Church. The Rev. J.W. Williford officiated.
Interment was in Moorhead Cemetery.
Private Cook was killed in action in Belgium January, 1945. Entering the Armed Services in January 1940, he received his basic training at Camp Mabry, Texas. He served in England, France and Belgium and had been awarded three battle stars and the Purple Heart.
Survivors are his father, Edward N. Cook of Eustace; one brother, Alfred Cook of Houston and two sisters, Mrs. Opal Tidwell of Fort Worth and Mrs. Alda Sitton of Tyler.
Carroll and Lehr Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
