AMOND HILDE, 28, DIES IN GERMANY
According to word received from the war department Sunday by Melvin Hilde, Ulen, his brother, Amond Hilde, 28, Ulen, died in Germany July 30.
An ambulance driver in the medical corps, Hilde had been in the army three years and overseas about one year. No details of his death were given.

AMOND HILDE MEMORIAL SERVICES TO BE SUNDAY
Memorial services for Technician Fifth Grade Amond G. Hilde, son of Mrs. Bergid Hilde, rural Ulen, will be held at the Bethlehem Lutheran church in Ulen, Sunday, September 2, at 11:00 a.m. Hilde, an ambulance driver with the 580th motor ambulance company, was killed in Germany while driving an ambulance transferring wounded men July 30. He was buried in Nurnberg, Germany, July 31. Surviving are his mother, eight brothers, and two sisters.
