Nancy Lucretia Arbon, age 91, died December 11, 1998 in Provo, Utah, of causes incident to age.
Born in Alpine, Utah, September 4, 1908 to Robert L. and Hannah C. Ashby. Attended schools in American Fork. She served a California mission, then attended and graduated from Brigham Young University. Married John Theadore Arbon, June 10, 1932 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. As a faithful LDS member she served in the MIA, Relief Society, Sunday School, Family History and as a Provo Temple worker.
She influenced many young lives and shared her love for children as a public school teacher at Stoker and West Bountiful Elementary. Later she owned and operated a preschool, Arbon Fun School. She enjoyed membership in Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She and Ted served in the Dearborn Michigan Mission (1979-80).
Survived by four sons and one daughter: Alden (Eva Nell), Highland; Robert (Beverly), Mapleton; Richard (Da Vauna), Clearfield; Mary Beth (Lloyd) Pendleton, Bountiful; Val (Bonnie), Orem; 24 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brothers: William (Ruth) Ashby, TN; Richard (Marilyn) Oakland, CA; sisters: Mary (Wesley) Porter, Provo; Eda (Standford) Bingham, Provo; Bonna (Shermann) Brinton, SLC. Preceded in death by husband, John T. Arbon, parents, brothers, Robert, Armis; sisters; Ruth (Leon) Ivie, Althea (Edwin) Kimball.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, December 15, 1998 at the Bountiful 9th Ward Chapel, 585 East Center Street. Friends may call Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and again Tuesday morning from 11:45 -12:45 p.m. at the church. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.
