Carterville - Judy A. Hall, 68, of Carterville, died Monday, May 16, 2011 at Parkway Manor in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 20, 2011 at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville, with the Rev. Brad Harlow. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.

Judy was born on December 3, 1942 in Johnston City to Ray and Leola (Craig) Beaver. She is survived by her daughter, Marilee Hall of Chandler, Ariz.; son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Susan Hall of Glenview, Ill.; granddaughter, Jennifer Hall of Glenview, Ill.; brothers, Robert E. Beaver of Johnston City and Ralph C. Beaver of Marion; sister, Joy D. Harris of Carterville; sister-in-law, Bettye Beaver of Augusta, Me.; nieces, Michele McNeill of Carbondale, Sharon Beaver of Augusta, Me. and Debbie Beaver-Marcucci of Sarasota, Fla.; nephews, Mark Beaver of Pine Has Park, Fla., Randy Steinmetz of Herrin and Joshua Beaver of Marion; several cousins; and special friends, Rick Flom and Allie Whitecotton, both of Herrin, and Roland and Selma Rogers of Johnston City.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ray Lee Beaver; sister, Darlene D. McNeill; step-brother, Wayne Beaver; step-sister, Genevieve Lowry; and aunt, Vaundice Newton.

She worked for Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in the Administration Department. Judy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carterville. She had a passion for education and was always taking classes to further her knowledge. Judy loved flowers and nature. She enjoyed driving through the wildlife refuge. She liked to help others in any way she could. Judy especially loved spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed. Judy always held her children, grandchildren and family close to her heart.
