Death of Joshua Dye
Joshua Dye, one of the pioneers of Wayne County, died at his home in Abington, Monday night, aged about 75 years. The deceased came to this county with his parents in 1810, who settled one mile southeast of where the town now is. He was one of the most prominent men of his township and took a deep interest in various business enterprises and in public affairs. He was a man of decided character, possessed a good mind, had strong will-power and was enthusiastic in anything he undertook or in any cause he believed to be right. A couple of months ago he was stricken with paralysis, which affected him both physically and mentally, and his strong physical frame succumbed to the King of Terrors.
