Freeman S. Parker of Stockton, entered the service in May 1918, as a doughboy at Camp McArthur. He saw action in the Toul Sector and Metz Front. Pvt. 1st Class Parker was wounded in both legs by shrapnel. He was officially reported missing in action. This was later corrected. Discharged in April 1919.

Freman was also awarded a Purple Heart medal.
