Obituary
W.H. Garner was born near Shannondale, Indiana, August 30, 1847. Died at the home of his nephew, W.R. Ransdell of Lexington, Nebraska, March 19, 1927, aged 79 years, 6 months, and 19 days. Mr. Garner came to Nebraska in the early 80's and homesteaded near Eustus, where he lived until four years ago when he came to Lexington and made his home until his death. He was a member of the Evangelical church at Earl, Nebraska. He also held membership in the I.O.O.F. and the Ancient Order of Mystic Samaritans. Mr. Garner is the last of a family ten children, father, mother, five brothers and four sisters have preceded him in death. He leaves a number of nephews and nieces to mourn his departure as well as many friends who will miss him. Funeray services were held from the Christian church at Lexington, Sunday afternoon, with the sermon preached by the pastor, Victor M. Hovis, and interment in Greenwood cemetery. Members of the I.O.O.F. conducted services at the grave.
