He was a former pastor of the First Baptist Church of Rocky Ford and the Ogeechee Branch Baptist Church in Newington.Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mae Evelyn Coleman of Portal, Mrs. Wadella Heath of Killeen, Texas, and Mrs. Ella Davis of San Antonio, Texas; a son, Ed Foy Cone of Statesboro; four sisters, Mrs. Agnes Key of Statesboro, Mrs.Annie M. Brown and Miss Ruthie M. Cone, both of Miami, and Mrs. Geneva Lane of Fort Lauderdale, Fla,; four brothers, Howard Cone and Enoch Cone, Jr., both of Miami, Clifford Cone of Wildwood, Fla., and Buford Cone of North Carolina. Funeral: 1 p.m. Sunday at Scarboro Grove Baptist Church in Portal, burial in the church cemetery.
