Evelyn I. (Hayes) Hale, 90, Harrisonville, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005, at Cass Medical Center, Harrisonville.
She was born Aug. 18, 1914, in Pleasant Hill, the daughter of Jesse Cleveland and Lola Alta (Small) Hayes.
Mrs. Hale had lived in Pleasant Hill and Holden before moving to Forsyth in 1979. She had lived in Harrisonville the last seven years.
She had been married to Frank Redford before marrying Charles Hale.
Mrs. Hale had been employed at Remington Arms. She was a member of the Forsyth United Methodist Church and the VFW Auxiliary in Holden.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, Charles Hale, in July 1981.
Surviving are two daughters, Lola Hicks, Harrisonville, and Lois Freel, Forsyth; a son, Marcus L. Redford, Chillicothe; a stepson, Alvin Hale, Independence; five brothers, Jesse W. Hayes and Jay Hayes, both of Pleasant Hill, A.J. Hayes, Columbia, Jerry Hayes and Jerrall Hayes, Pleasant Hill; two sisters, Audrey Hayes and Ruth Kingsolver, Pleasant Hill; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Michael Hayes, Terry Hayes, Kent Hayes, Gregg Hayes, Jim Hayes, Chuck Kingsolver, Allen Hayes and Kevin Hayes.
Services were Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at Stanley & Son Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill, with the Rev. Bruce Jacobs officiating.
Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Stanley & Son Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church
