Genevieve, 82, of Lansing, left this earthly world on Friday, on the wings of an angel.

Eva lived for her family, as they were the main focus of her life. She was a life-long member of St. Mary Cathedral, where she graduated in 1946. She was a member of the Alter Society and the St. Rose Circle. Eva was a chef extraordinaire and worked for 15 years at Rocky's Teakwood Lounge, along with providing many wonderful Lebanese dishes for family and friends throughout her life.

Left to mourn her passing are her children, Richard Brunk Jr., Desiree (Neil) Simon, Paulina (J.R.) Rodriguez, Kelly (Jeff) Felzke, Chris (Kelly) Brunk, John (Carol) Brunk and Terry "Sabu" (Hitomi) Brunk; her grandchildren, Moses (Alicia) Fernandez, Sunny (Delan) Howard, Joseph (Angelia) Fernandez, Raven Simon, Rachael Ibrahim, Desiree Rosner, Jerry Felzke, Tawny Felzke, Alexandria Brunk, C.J. Brunk, Nikki Hudson, Latavia, Latoya, Dakota, Cheyanne, Michael and Ryan Brunk; her great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Moses II, Jennesse, D.J., Jala, Cameron, Sidney, Josette, Envyah, Adon, Johnny Blue, Ava and Jackson; as well as numerous nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Latifa (Tobias) Farhat; sisters, Zakea Rashid, Olga Dennis, Julia DuBois, Elizabeth Ritchie; brothers, Louie, Joseph "Topper", Amal, Edmond, and Edward "Shiek" Farhat.

Memorial Mass was held at St. Mary Cathedral Lansing on Monday, May 16, 2011.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association Michigan Chapter, in Eva's name.
