Funeral services were held Monday in Thiensville for Florence D. Broesder, who passed away on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2006 at the age of 84. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Jan. 23 and interment took place at Zur Ruhe Cemetery in Cedarburg.

Florence was a former employee of Hayes Industrial Brakes, Inc. in Mequon and a longtime member of First Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Cedarburg.

Florence is survived by her daughters Nancy (Michael) Groth and Sharon Batterman; grandchildren Suzanne, Nicole and Kathleen Groth (Chris Glime), Dustin Batterman and Christopher (Gretchen) Batterman; and great-grandson, Oscar Groth-Eidlin. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and her pet cat Lilly.

Florence was preceded in death by her brother Clarence; her sisters Laura, Evelyn and Eleanor; and her son-in-law James Batterman.
