Andrew Charles was the first born of 12 children of German immigrants Leonard Arzberger & Margaret Stein Lott Arzberger. All but 3 of his siblings preceded him in death. Elizabeth died in 1875 a 3 year old, Frank died on Valentines day 1914, Catherine died in 1922, Louisa died in 1916, Mary died in 1920, Emma died a 3 year old in 1882, Leonard Phillip died in 1932, Annie died in 1882 only 2 years old. Those surviving him were Ida May who died in 1988, Gertrude Ann who died in 1937, William H who died in 1942.
His wife Anna preceded him in death in 1927.
My mom would say that he had a great sense of humor and always played with her. She said that even though she was young she knew that he was devoted to his wife Anna and he was a good father. He worked hard and played hard.
