Services for James Benton Furlow of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12, at Heuck's Retreat Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday, Aug. 11, from 5-9 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home and Monday from 10-11 a.m. at the church.

Mr. Furlow, 59, died Friday, Aug. 9, 2002, at S. Baldwin Medical Center in Foley, Ala. He was born on Jan. 26, 1943, in Copiah County to the late James Brown Furlow and Mary Lou Hamilton Furlow.

He was a member of Heuck's Retreat Baptist Church. He was manager of the Brookhaven Airport and owner of Antique Nook.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a daughter, Farrah Furlow Watson.

Survivors are his wife Rebecca Furlow of Brookhaven, son Anthony "Pete" Furlow of Jackson; daughters Cappy Giachelli of Brandon and Natasha Givens of Natchez; step-son Chad Vaughn of Brookhaven; step-daughters Angie Jordan and Bethany Lewis, both of Brookhaven; brothers Stanley Furlow of Lafayette, La., Ray Furlow of Jackson and Jimmy Furlow of Brookhaven; sisters Inez Danise of Ocean Springs, and Loyce Mercier and Ann Grone, both of Brookhaven; mother-in-law Elizabeth Nettles of Brookhaven; and 11 grandchildren.

Memorials may be may to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation at P.O. Box 473, Brookhaven, or the Heuck's Retreat Baptist Church building fund at 2167 Heucks Retreat Rd., 39641.
