Elisha was the youngest child of Jeremiah Fly & Zilpha Pipkin. He married Anne Kennedy about 1830 in Carroll Co., TN. They had 10 children, plus he and Ann raised Elisha & Elijah Roden, son's of his neice, Nancy Matilda Fly & James Roden, after she died.
After the death of Anne, Elisha married Adelissa 'Addie' Lunsford Lathrom, widow of Henry Lathrom, July of 1873 in Wright Co., MO
Elisha & Anne left Gibson Co., TN in Oct 1832 along with two other families in one wagon drawn by cattle. They all settled on Slavin's Creek in Lawrence Co., AR. He paid taxes there in 1834, 1835, 1836. In 1837 he paid taxes in Greene Co., AR, which was part of Lawrence. Then they moved to Barry Co. MO where his parents had moved to. In 1840 & 1850 census data he and family are in Barry Co. In the Kansas 1855 Territorial Voters Census they are in Kansas. Probably Bourbon Co. In 1860 they are back in Wright Co., MO
