Booth - Died at the parsonage on Kickapoo circuit after a brief but painful illness, Zuela Salena Booth, daughter of Rev. T.T. Booth, of the East Texas conference. Zuela was born December 19th, 1870 and died June 25, 1881, being ten years six months and six days old. It is saying a great deal, but not too much, to say that she was a dutiful child, ever ready to do the bidding of parents and teachers; an affectionate sister, willing to give up her preference in many things to oblige others; amiable and kind to all and hence greatly beloved in the family and among her associates. We have seldom witnessed such a sorrowful scene as the final adieu of the family to this departed loved one. She was the first of a large family to die. To the family earth has lost one of its charms, but heaven has an additional attraction. May this sore bereavement be sanctified to the good of the household, the church, the Sabbath-school and the community, all of these having lost in her death - but their loss is doubtless her gain.
