She was born September 25, 1917, in Reno County, KS, the daughter of Mark H. Elliott and Elsie Harvey Elliott. She graduated from Sterling High School, in Sterling, KS. She and her late husband, John, were longtime residents of Reno County. In 1998 she moved to north Texas to live closer to her daughter. She and her husband were retired farmers and owners of E.J.'s Uniform Company.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Darlow Social Club.
On Jan. 1, 1938, she married John A. Davis in Augusta, KS.
Survivors include, a son, William Mark, San Pedro, CA, a daughter and son-in-law, Sheila M. and William Roepka, Jr., Southlake, TX, two grandchildren, Nathan Tiemeier, Aubrey, TX and Megan Cooper, Grapevine, TX and 3 great grandchildren. Other survivors include a sister, Shirley Hoppock, Wichita and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, at Penwell-Gabel Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Jim Rhaesa presiding. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Sterling Community Cemetery, Sterling.
