DOBSON, RUSSELL H. -- Funeral services for Mr. Russell H. Dobson, 72, 1801 Hollenbeck Dr., who passed away Wednesday, will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the W. Guy Black Home for Funerals with the Dr. Henry A. Parker and Rev. James Wilson officiating. Private burial services will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. Dobson was born in Rockford, Ill., and moved to Orlando with his parents, Henry and Margaret Dobson, in 1913. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Orlando, and Secretary of Adult No. 5 Sunday School Department. He was a veteran of World War I, multiple gallon donor to the Central Florida Blood Bank and secretary-treasurer of the Florida State United National Association of Post Office Clerks. Mr. Dobson was employed as a clerk in the Orlando Post Office in 1919 and served as supervisor of the Registry Division; Superintendent of the Colonialtown and College Park stations and was superintendent of Dixie Village station when it was dedicated in 1958, retiring in 1960 after 41 years of postal service... Survivors: wife, Mrs. Eva L. Dobson, son, Hayward Dobson, daughter, Mrs. Lyndy Harris, all of Orlando; brother, Harry Dobson, Rockford, Ill.; three grandchildren, Mrs. Eva June Kelley, Mrs. Diane Darr and Miss Cindy Harris of Orlando; two great-grandchildren.
