John Joseph Arpin, 96, died Sunday, May 8, 2011. Born in New Haven CT, he retired from AmTrak after 30 + years of service. He was a member of St. Stephens Catholic Church, Cheshire Grange No. 23, and New Haven Pomona Grange No. 5. He served in the U.S. Army and was a wonderful father and husband. He loved being outdoors and was a collector of American Flyer trains.

Surviving are his wife of 64 years Mary V. Linsley Arpin; daughter, Laurie Babin of Irmo; and brother, Arthur Arpin of Branford, CT.
