Johannes Klinger's name was later anglicized to JOHN CLINGER. He emmigrated Sept. 1749 on the ship "Albany" carrying foreigners. He soon settled in Pikeland Twp., Chester County, Pa., was taxed there after 1760, as first as an inmate. In 1764 he was taxed on 20 acres, buildings and mill, 1 horse and 1 cow. "

Note: The only reference to Klinger's 2nd Marriage is the double death record of the Vincent Reformed Church, that reads as follows;
"October 3, 1784, Johnnes Klinger, aged 57 and Margaretha his wife aged 47 years, buried in one grave, leaving 11 children; both the parents were Lutherans."
OCTOBER 26, 1784, PHILIP KLINGER and John Hanley appointed administraters of John Clinger, deceased."
1784-1785; Appointed guardians and petetion of real estate 80 acres and grist mill stated that John Clinger, late, of Pikeland Twp., deceased, left issue 4 sons and 7 daughters; PHILIP CLINGER, eldest son and heir at law, ELISABETHA FEKIS ( or JEKIS), DOROTHY & CATHERIN CLINGER of age, JOHN & MAGDALENA, aged 14-20 (guardian John Walter), JACOB, PETER and MARGARET, under 14 (guardian Jonathan Wells, MARY & SARAH, under 14 (guardian George Deery)."
