Elsie Etta was born and raised in Green Ridge, the daughter of Cecil and Stella (Glassburn) Barnett.
She graduated high school with the Class of 1945. As a 24-year-old, she moved to Independence and went to work for Safeway Stores as a clerk. There she met, then later married, Doyle Angel on June 7, 1958.
They lived in Independence, Odessa, and Blue Springs, Wichita, KS, and in 1993, retired to Cassville.
Survivors include: her husband, Doyle; one son, one daughter, and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.
