LILLIAN R. ELLIOT
CARLSBAD--Lillian Ruth Elliot, 99, of West Pierce Street, died Thursday (Oct. 20, 1994) at Lakeview Christian Home-Northgate unit. Graveside services are set for 2 p.m. Thursday in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park with the Rev. Leonard Foster of Happy Valley Baptist Church officiating.
Arrangements are being made by West Funeral Home Inc.
Mrs. Elliot was born July 31, 1895, in Jameson, Mo., to William and Laura Lewis. She married Jack Elliot on Sept. 23, 1918, in Morris County, Kansas. In 1928, she moved to Carlsbad, where her husband sold pianos and she served as the Loving Village Police Judge at one time. She was also a seamstress. She was a member of the Loving Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Elliot, and one son, J.J. Elliot.
She is survived by one granddaughter, Donna Alexander of Clovis; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
