Joseph James Morgan was born in Illinois on Dec 12, 1850. He married Martha Rosella Stevens in Jackson County, IA on Dec 3, 1873. Later they moved to Delaware CO., IA and in 1884 came to Gosper Co., NE. locating on a farm near Elwood, NE. Martha (Stevens) Morgan died in 1910 and Joseph Morgan died in 1926. They are both buried in the Elwood cemetery.
