Janie Clauis Andrews, age 93, of Fort Myers passed away Friday evening, June 23, 2006 at Hope Hospice South. She was born on April 6, 1913 in Nicholas, Georgia to Travis and Mattie Davis. Her family moved to Fort Myers in 1925, where she attended school. The family owned and operated Andrews Fruit Stand on South Cleveland Ave. She often told about Mr. Edison stopping for a glass of fresh orange juice. She was married to Coy Andrews in 1927. She was a devoted Christian and a member of McGregor Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Cherry (Rusty) Robson of Fort Myers, Carol (Sam) Becker of North Port, one son Charles (Gladys) Andrews of Durant, Florida; grandchildren are Eva Robson, LuAnn Andrews, Robin (Beverly) Andrews, Christopher (Dana) Andrews, Ricky (Beverly) Biehl and Randy (Vickie) Biehl, and six great-grandchildren, a sister, Corrine McGraw of Jacksonville and a number of other relatives. Visitation and memorial service will take place at Lee Memorial Park on Wednesday, June 28th. Visitation from 1-2 Pm with service at 2 PM. Burial follows.
