Dorothy Mae Hardy, 73, of Alvin passed away on May 7, 2011 in Texas City.
Dorothy was born on October 27, 1937 in Chico, California to parents Allan Stanley and Anita Beckman and raised by her mother and stepfather, Claude Tull. She moved from Houston to Alvin in 1981 and was of the Christian faith. Dorothy had a great love for her family and friends, and she was known as "Mom" to many. She was an Event Coordinator at the Astrodomain for thirty-five years. She also enjoyed old movies and musicals. She had a love of music, singing both at home and in the choir.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Allan Stanley and Anita Beckman, her step father, Claude Tull, her sisters, Betty Lalonde and Claudia Arlint. She is survived by her children: Richard Alan Koons and wife Irina of League City, Betty Jean Baldwin and husband John of Alvin; brother, Gary Tull and wife Barbara of Redding, California; sister, Edwina Pitts and husband Ken of Friendswood; grandchildren: Jennifer Ann Koons, Richard Allan Koons Jr., Nicholas Leonid-Paul Koons, April Niccole Arrington an Ashton Wayne Baldwin.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 11, 2011 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Froberg Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday May 12, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at Froberg Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Confederate Cemetery . Arrangements by Froberg Funeral Home.
