Sarah A. "Sallie" Anderson was a daughter of Thomas Anderson and his wife Adeline Ramseur of Iredell County, NC. She married John Solomon McRorie (1852-1930), and they lived in Statesville, NC. They had at least six children: William Everett McRorie (1888-1931), John David McRorie (1891-?), Thomas Hugh McRorie (1893-1968), Robert Anderson McRorie (1895-1995), Mary A. McRorie (1899-1993, Mrs. Trott) and Sarah K. McRorie (1905/6-1954, Mrs. Cowles).
